Sunday Sketchbook

Welcome to Sunday Sketchbook, following a little break to move house. I’m now settling in and recovering so i’m back to finding some beautiful things for you to check out this week.

Natural Pigment Collectors

I take a lot of inspiration from natural tones and textures so this interview with a collector of natural pigments was really interesting. These are the oldest artists materials in the world and the breadth of colour that can be obtained was stunning. Find out more here.

Clay By Design

I’m so in love with the surface design of Alexandra Barto’s work. She uses different layers of glaze that react together in the kiln creating a unique design for each piece. You can see more of her work on her instagram or website.

How to Make a Tiny Garden

I’ve just moved into a second floor flat so I’ll be missing having a proper garden for a while. This article explains how to make the most of any little bit of space you have. This picture is of the Bag of Nails in Bristol, full of both feline and plant life!

From The Studio

This week I launched my first Bristol workshops! Head to Yuup to book your place on the 7th of July. They are hosted in Prior Shop, Cabot Circus. I’m really excited to share everything I’ve learnt about Jesmonite in person. If you can’t make the date, I’m planning more so drop me a suggestion by email.
