Create Your Own Silicone Moulds For Jewellery Casting

Ready to take your next steps in jewellery casting? It’s time to design and make your own moulds in this 1:1 masterclass hosted in my Bristol garden studio.

What you’ll learn

This workshop is perfect for those who have started their journey in Jesmonite or resin jewellery and want to realise their designs by making their own moulds.

What will I make?

The class will teach how to create flat and 3D moulds, and how to use them to best effect for jewellery.

What will I take home?

You will take home two finished moulds, ready to start creating jewellery to your own designs.

The class will cover:

  • Designing with Jesmonite (the host's preferred eco-friendly resin)

  • Make a mould for a flat piece of jewellery to your own design

  • Make a mould for a 3d piece of jewellery using a found object (feel free to bring your own)

  • Prepare your mould for casting - how to add findings, reinforcements and get the best results on fine detail.

  • Lots of tips and tricks on designing in 3d, and the most cost and time effective way to create your moulds.

The class will include an hour for lunch where you are invited to join my family table for a home made meal, or you are welcome to head out and explore the cafes of Easton - there are some real gems nearby. This to allow your moulds time to dry before you turn them out so you can explore how best to use them before you take them home.

£120 for a 5 hour class including lunch

Share the experience with a friend for £140 for 2 people. You will be sharing some tools but will still both go home with 2 moulds.

The host was patient and really explained the process to me, I came away with the knowledge to begin making my own moulds with confidence. An amazing lunch was also supplied which was very welcome! Great experience would recommend.

Where is the workshop hosted?

The workshop is hosted in my garden studio in Easton, Bristol. It’s a lovely calm environment to work in with all the tools you’ll need (and a few more) on hand.

You’ll get all the home comforts with coffee from our local coffee nerds, Radical Roasters, homemade biscuits and if you’d like to join us, a delicious home cooked lunch. Be advised there may be a toddler present during lunch!

If you prefer to get out and explore, Easton has a range of fab cafes and I’ll be happy to point you in the direction of my favourites.

If you would like to stay for lunch and have any dietary requirement, please let me know when booking.
