Caring For Your Jewellery
Be kind to your jewellery, loved pieces last.
Brass
Keep brass in its anti-tarnish pouch when its not being worn. When you buy your brass piece it has a microcrystalline wax coating that will slow down oxidisation. Once this wears off, use your polish pad to remove any tarnish. Polish around any Jesmonite stones to avoid transferring the dirt onto them. If you have a very dirty brass piece try this technique using metal polish.
Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel won’t tarnish, however you may want to clean any grease or dirt from contact with your skin from time to time with warm soapy water and a toothbrush. Be sure to dry your piece after cleaning for the shiniest results.
Jesmonite
Your jesmonite stone has been sealed using a waterproof sealant so splashes will not damage it. However we do suggest avoiding repeated exposure to chemicals from showering or swimming. You can clean jesmonite with a toothbrush and warm soapy water, or in extreme cases, fine (600 grade) sandpaper.
Silver
Keep silver in it’s anti tarnish pouch when it’s not being worn. Silver will also need polishing from time to time to remove any oxides using your polish pad.
